Magic's Howard in All-Star debut

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 17, 2008 – From the night he was drafted first overall back in 2004, Dwight Howard has always seemed to be on a collision course with greatness.

His body went from a skinny 240 pounds to a rippling 268 pounds of muscle and enormous athleticism in two years. And in each of his four NBA seasons, his scoring and rebounding production have increased, easily making him one of the game's most promising big men.

Tonight, when he starts at center for the Eastern Conference in the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, Howard will take his rightful place among the greatest players in the NBA. It is his first-ever start, and because his is just 22 years old, it likely is the start of a long All-Star run for the Orlando Magic center.
